The Cave resulted from an accidental discovery during construction. A tremendous quantity of large boulders, thrown here by ancient volcanic eruptions, were encountered as we excavated. Some are visible in
these photos. We left them as we found them. One is embedded in the floor of the fogon above
We decided to save the boulders and create this cave. Inside you will discover many etchings in the boulders and wood carvings embedded in the walls. The legend of the creation and the quieting of Volcan
Osorno is scribed in the ceiling. Some come here to sing in the unusual acoustics of the cave. Don’t miss it!
